30th November 90 teachers gathered in Melbourne for a day of discussion about the VET in Schools music industry training programs. We had industry guest speakers including Jen Cloher (2006 ARIA nominated Singer/Songwriter), Ben O’Hara (Flower Pot Productions), Adrian Marchesani (Ralph Carr Management) and Nick Bonich (Frontier Music Group) as well as Margaret McKenzie (VCAA VET Curriculum Projects Manager) along with some teachers who deliver the programs and Mark Pullin (General Manager – Ausmusic).
The morning session was held at the Hard Rock Café Melbourne where participants enjoyed a light breakfast before sitting down to listen to our industry guests. Lunch was at the Hard Rock Café, before heading around the corner for our afternoon session at the Hotel Windsor Grand Ballroom. The afternoon was all about assessment, guidelines, rules, activities, ideas, discussion and of course afternoon tea.
